Inspired by Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, Pollock, De Kooning, Rauschenberg, Connelly and Disney as a teenager, Nieves developed a vision and style of his own. His art evolved into a symphony of design and texture. His colorful paintings, which appear to be chaotic, are influenced by Abstract expressionism and Pop art.
